“I’ve been in love with bike culture since I was 16. I didn’t learn to ride until last summer when my son (who I had at 16) taught me how to ride lol. Now we ride together.
My son had just come home from basic training. He joined the Army right out of high school and I took it HARD! Lol I cried from the time he left until he came home it seems. He’s my first born and was also born prematurely so the first 4 years of his life we faced many challenges and learning curves together. With me being 16, we grew up together. He’s my heart, my pride and joy!
Fast forward to him returning home from basic training, he surprised me! He didn’t tell me he was done or anything. He just showed up at home and I lost it lol. Full on ugly crying! 😂
So we had conversations about what his first vehicle would be. He and I have almost identical interests so when he said he wanted a motorcycle, I was all for it! He took the motorcycle class and about a month later my husband and I took him to get his first bike. One week later, my son surprised me with my own bike! I couldn’t believe it! I was ecstatic!!!
He had been teaching me to ride on his bike. I dropped the bike twice and stalled out at least 7 times. Lots of laughs and emotions shaped my learning experience. 😂
The only thing I love more than motorcycles is learning from my son and riding out with him. Next up, we’ll be popping wheelies together! I love that kid with every fiber of my being.❣️”
