6 STEPS TO PREPARING FOR FEMALE RIDE DAY!
We are super excited to have you join us for International Female Ride Day! This is the 11th anniversary of this great day, founded by Vickie Gray of Motoress, and we are proud to be apart of her vision! We’ve got a great line up of female riders speaking about their experiences. This is a time of sisterhood, sharing and bonding on ground. Is this your first long distance day ride? We are happy to have you! Here’s what to expect:
1. ARRIVE ON TIME, GASSED UP AND READY TO RIDE.
Location: Hudson Motorcycles
1835 W. Rosecrans Ave.
Gardena, CA 90249
Registration: 5:30am – 6:15am
We’ll set up at 5:30am for registration and lite bites. We won’t have a full breakfast spread, as we don’t want to get on the road with a full stomach. Arrive as early as possible to complete your registration waivers, get your t-shirts, gift bags, and ride route info. If you haven’t registered, please do so NOW. This helps us to make sure we have enough for all riders. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/bgr-female-ride-weekend-to-hollister-fresno-ca-tickets-32171370435
2. KICKSTANDS UP AT 6:30AM SHARP. NO EXCEPTIONS.
No, we can’t wait for you, even though you’re just a few minutes away. We have a lot of ground to cover and we need to be mindful of riders who were prompt, and riders waiting to meet us in Hollister. Thanks in advance for understanding. 🙂
3. BE HONEST ABOUT YOUR ABILITY.
Our Road Captains will stage your bike upon arrival to ride with the group best suited to your ability and tank capacity. They will ask you questions to assess your ability. There’s no shame here, and all riders are welcome. Your honesty will ensure we can accommodate your skill set.
4. WE ARE RIDING IN FORMATION.
We’ll be riding in a staggered formation, and we’ll be using hand signals. If you’ve never ridden in formation, or have questions, please let a road captain know. We will maintain a safe speed, and no stunting or trick riding is allowed. Please be aware of all riders around you. If you see something, say something!
5. BE READY TO GAS AND GO AT OUR STOPS.
We will move quickly, so be mindful at each stop. Get gas, use the restroom if necessary, and get back on your bike. Your swift cooperation will keep us on schedule. Lunch will be waiting upon our arrival.
6. MEETING US AT HOLLISTER? WE CAN’T WAIT TO SEE YOU THERE!
We’ll set up registration upon our arrival for those of you who will be meeting us.
