Monday, January 19, 2015 – Loneata Brown of L8DRyder Gear invited Black Girls Ride to participate in the Inglewood’s 32nd Annual MLK Day March and Celebration at the Fabulous Forum. Over 30 women on bikes from all over Southern California, came out to ride and remember Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. We are reminded of a time when racial tensions in the U.S., and Inglewood in particular, would never have allowed for this to happen. Thanks to the work of Dr. King and countless others who fought for equality, we are able to ride free. The sisterhood of riders was amazing! The route began at Crozier Middle School and ended at the Forum in Inglewood. We partied on the March route and at the main event, hosted by KJLH Radio, where Johnny Gill gave a free concert for the city. MC clubs and solo riders bonded in a spirit of togetherness on ground. We were honored to be a part of this event! Check out the photos from the day!
