“I came from a family that rides. I rode on the back of one but was determined to learn how to ride on my own.
From that point on, I was determined. I actually took my first solo ride with BGR on one of the International Female Rides. It was a great experience.
The most memorable part of it was the sisterhood and bonds I was able to form. I took a chance and spoke to so many people I never knew before.
On the way back home from the ride my bike broke down twice and one of the ladies I had met on the ride stayed with me from beginning to the end and made sure I got home safely. This was about five years ago and we still ride together to this day.”
