“I come from a family of 4 children and riding motorcycles has been a long time coming but it wasn’t easy…
I loved motorcycles since I was a little girl, working on cars and playing with my brothers. My dad always shares stories about how he would ride. Unfortunately, his bike was laid down when he was hit by a paramedic and they kept going. This was during the civil rights movement.
My dad always said, “I promised the good Lord, if I get out of this, I will never ride again.” This terrified me, and my dream started to fade away.
As years passed he was having a change of heart and we thought we could ride together. However, my mother was not supported of motorcycles so the dream was killed again.
My husband passed away three years ago and he would always say “Go on and take your crazy self out there, I got insurance” 😂
After these past three years of mourning the loss of him and meeting someone just as special to me, I started to turn a new leaf. My sweetheart encouraged me and we rode with my sorority sister. My spark was lit 🔥 again.
I started at the Harley Davidson Riders academy…which was a bust. I am 6’1 with a 36” inseam and those toy bikes were just too small. I made it to the second day and I said this is horrible. I left the bike and decided to get my own practice bike.
I was so relaxed 😌 on the fit, I bought the bike before I had my endorsement. I took my test the same day and passed on the 1st 🥇 try!
