Black Girls Ride heads to the 2017 PRO Convention

Events / Features / December 11, 2016

Black Girls Ride Magazine will host our first ever panels inside the 2017 PROC!  We’re honored and excited to curate two panels this year!  The MC Professional Convention AKA The PROC had its start in Philadelphia, PA in January 2004. It began as a “Get-Together” for Public Relations Officers AKA P.R.O.’s” from urban motorcycle clubs, predominantly in the North Eastern portion on the country, to speak on current affairs within the MC Community and fellowship.  its inception, “The PROC” has spawned from a small gathering of 100 or so bikers in a small bar in Philadelphia, PA for a one-day event into a three-day weekend encompassing education, safety, maintenance clinics, guest speakers and club officer breakout sessions. There is also a meet and Greet night and a after party to unwind from the rigorous schedule of daytime education and activities.  If you’re not registered, they’ll have a limited amount of on site registration, so get there early!

“The Riders Meet & Greet” (Friday, January 13, 3pm – 5pm)
We’ll introduce you to Black Girls Ride Magazine, including our legacy, mission, and events for 2017.  You’ll meet the BGR Ambassadors, and learn how to join the BGR Movement.  We’ll also give riders and clubs an opportunity to introduce themselves, and share what inspires them to ride.

“Preparing to Ride Outside of Your Comfort Zone” (Saturday, January 14, 4:15pm – 5pm)
There’s so much to consider when preparing for your solo or group ride.  Our goal is to prepare you with tips to plan your trip.  Our panel features Sarah “SeCCRet” Moreau, Jenn “Lil Tigga” Brewington, Toni “Toni 2 Fine” White, Christy “Pink’e” Patterson, and Porsche Taylor.

We’ll also bringing the new 2017 Indian Chieftain and Polaris Slingshot for you to see for yourself.  Don’t forget to stop by the booth to enter to win your new ride!  We’re giving away 3 vehicles, and YES, YOU CAN ENTER TO WIN ALL 3!  Going to the PROC?  Be sure to say hello!  We want to meet and network with as many riders as possible to thank you in person for joining the Black Girls Ride Movement!
