“I’ve wanted to ride since my 20’s but, I put it off once I got married and had children. Now that my children are grown, I got my endorsement and began to ride. Last year I took my first trip with Black Girls Ride to the March on Washington.
My most memorable moment was my first police escorted ride. It was through downtown Washington. The power at that moment overwhelmed me. To see all my beautiful BADASS sisters slow rolling through the city, loud and strong as one. It was surreal.
You could feel the excitement from everyone we passed. I felt like a celebrity! People were so excited to see us they clapped, pointed, took pictures, and yelled encouraging words. It’s was beautiful, and I’ll NEVER forget it.”
