I reached out to my best friend and told him I wanted to ride. He said, ‘If you’re near Independence anytime soon, stop and check out Austin’s.’ Well, guess which driveway I literally drove past seconds before!
So I whipped a U-turn and bought a bike ten minutes before they closed. Since I never rode before I couldn’t drive it home! Luckily my best friend did me a favor and drove it for me the next day.
A week after, he took me to an empty parking lot so I could see what I’d gotten myself into. Well 45 minutes later, I was making circles around the lot, shifting gears, and practicing starting and stopping! I took the MSF class the following week. The rest is history!”
